Looks at it this way, 2003 Harley grills cost 600 new back in 03 and still go close to $300 USED

The billet grill i put on my 03 was $200 and not nearly the quality of the Saleen piece.

The 2012 6bar grill i just put on my truck, I paid $200 USED and $100 to paint.

Grills are one of the biggest appearance changing things you can change on a truck. $300 to me is well worth it.

^^^ THIS.

( Says the feller whut paid only $160 new a coupla years ago direct from Stage3, wif Free shippin' )

I don't see near as many folks pissin' & moanin' aboot the ongoing blatant gouging that is HD grille pricing.

I agree that boycotting is a silly idea. The price isn't outside the realm of "reasonable." Personally, $299 is too much for me to justify for my own financial situation. However, I can acknowledge that it isn't a grotesque price for the overall market.

They called me today offering it for regular price since I requested it a long time ago, did this happen to anybody else?

Yup, they called and offered it to me at the lower price as well. I said yes. Not sure why they are doing this, but I'm happy about it. I hope they don't feel bad about raising the price when they originally called, because I never held that against them. Props to Saleen for following up and coming through with the lower price--very awesome of them!

Gee, I wonder if a few canceled orders triggered that reaction.. But yeah, a boycott definitely won't work.... "Sarcasm"....

I think the HD grill is sexy as could be, but $600 to me is excessive. Shoot, I paid $500 for my 20" rims and tires! The Saleen grill is nice too, and for $160 I think that's a steal. Saleen probably realized that they are selling a unique item and could sell it for double their original price, and still be half the price of Ford's HD grill. Smart move if you ask me. I like my FX2 grill I paid $150 for and another $100 to paint it... but now I'm thinking the Saleen grill may have been the better choice. Oh well

Am I the only one that purchased this a while ago that was happy they discontinued the production. It made me feel like I had something special. I am happy they are going to give it to yall for the regular price, $300 is way to much for a plastic grille.
