Default rear sliding window intermittently works

I have an '06 Screw FX4 with the power sliding rear window that goes in and out of working. The only thing I have been able to notice that might be linked to the problem is that when the 2 rear white dome lights on the outside of the truck are working, the rear window does not work. Then if one of the rear lights are not working the rear window does seem to work....if that makes sense. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated! I am not electrically inclined.

Thank you!

Does your truck leak at the 3rd break light (or has it ever)? I have heard it could short out electrical stuff if so. One more reason I like my stx

Not that I know of. I have only had the truck for a couple months but there are no signs of any leaking in the past either. I'm not sure if the light is a coincidence or if they are somewhat tied together so to speak.

I don't have a power sliding window so I can't really help there. Just thought I would throw out a possible suggestion. Good luck on finding a fix.

It's most likely the contacts are dirty just like what happens to the window buttons. Which just happened to me so I took it apart and cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner. That was my windows. But just the other day my rear window had an intermittent problem so I'm going to do the same to that button. There are post about the power windows maybe there is one for the rear window.

if the wiring is all factory then the power slider does not share any wiring with any light systems so it is unlikely that that is a cause of the intermittent problem.

Good to know! I'll check the connections and go from there. Thank you!
