Yellow truck is is getting motor work done. I only have two pics in my album. Yellow truck is factory UCA and LCA NOT Raptor. Her is a pic of the "tower". Initially I used the Raptor Wedge shaped spacers that came with their shocks (because I thought I had too). I eventually removed them. Mid Perch raised the truck 2". You need to be on mid perch. Very easy to do. You need a spring compressor from an auto parts store to rent or use. Took 20 minutes for both shocks once they were off the truck.

But you can't machine down into material that is not there, right? Maybe they have the same diameter, but different thread?

The Raptors are thicker and need to be machined down to match the "thinner" F150. This not a "nut" we are thinning down it is the end of the tie rod that screws into the steering rack. We are in essence making a fat bolt thinner with smaller threads. They can do it. You will need both in your hands to show them what you need done.

I just did this conversion on my 2004 4x4 the steering knuckel is a non issue other than cutting the steering stops off. As far as steering you have to cut about an inch off the raptor tie rod end and an inch off the inner rod. And I used
Stock uppers and lowers with stock raptor shocks and it works so much better. I only need help with how to remove the stock axel for the outer cv. What is the length of the stock axel?
