Default Plasti-Dipped F150 Emblems, and Installed a gauge, thoughts?

Hey guys, I just wanted to show of my latest home done mods to the truck! I have a passionate hate for chrome(guess I am wierd lol) and I really wanted to see what the F150 Emblems would look like in black. I have some matte black rims coming tomorrow and thought matte black emblems would look great. Took the can of plastidip I had from blacking out my mustang emblems, and went to town. I did about 4 coats on each emblem, and did not tape off anything around them (probably should have as it was somewhat annoying getting the excess plasti-dip off). Anyways here are some pics, excuse the water spots, the trucks a bit dirty from having some fun with it!

I also ordered a roush gauge pod earlier this week, since I have an extra transmission temp gauge due to a shipping mishap when I got gauges for my mustang. That pod came today and I put in the gauge just for looks, still need to get some wire and wire it up, what do you think?

I also plan to do exhaust before I go off to college, just gotta wait till I get back from my trip to VA!

Looks nice. I did mine not too long ago and they turned out nice. I'm planning on getting rims and tires soon along with some others when I get the money.

Thanks guys, the great part is if I decide I want to stock look the plastidip will peel right off! That and it only costs like 7 bucks for a can, and you don't even use a quarter of that can!

thinking of doing my tailgate ford emblem. its really faded, i painted it with krylon fushion paint but it wont go on very even. i painted my grille and ford emblem black and it looks awesome, cant figure out why the tailgate badge wont take the paint.

If it has clear that might be the problem, I personally am going to get a set of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-11-Ford...#ht_500wt_1287

I really like them! Anyway I am going to order a set after I get my exhaust done, but the exhaust is the priority, since my emblems are in good shape.

I sprayed my rear ford emblem with some of the rusto tail light tint so you could still semi make out the ford, but it went too dark, but it still looks good imo.

Lol, I have almost a full roll of 20% tint in the garage, I used it for my mustangs rear decklid ford emblem, and I plan to use it on this truck possibly though i will probably just buy the emblems since I really like the black with the little bit of chrome, and if I tint the emblem I still have to get rid of the chrome surround!

Thanks man, I really like how the F150 is still readable from a far and the 5.4 Triton is a bit more discrete, but still legible. I kind of wonder why more people haven't done it, since it is so easy to do!
