It may be big, but it has a nice factory look and really pulls in the air! Sounds good too! No high pitched noises either unlike like other intakes I've heard. You get what u pay for!

Did you get a tune with the Banks CAI or are you running it stock? If stock is it running lean?

Running it stock at the moment.. No check engine light. Truck is running fine. I'm looking at getting a tuner here soon though (Superchips or Edge). It is rated to be ran without needing a tune. Great intake though i must say!

Wasn't knocking it....just amazed at the airbox size. I'll assume it comes with a filter simular to that of a K&N, or a cone filter? The box will certainly keep out any engine warm air.

Great idea to use real cold air frome the front of the truck; a "true" Cold Air Intake (CAI).

1st mod was K&N CAI and I actually lost 1-1.5mpg.
2nd mod was Borla exhaust system. MPG stayed the same
3rd mod was Gryphon programmer. It evened it back out to 14-15mpg

I got my Airaid with a used tube but a brand new filter off of craigslist for $100. Well spent.
