Most people lift their trucks for looks not function.

Either way a properly equipped 2wd can out do some 4wd trucks out there. Good tires and a good locker can move most through mud holes just fine.

I'd put my money on the 4x4 if it were a competition i had 2wd and it was useless unless it was on pavement

Trophy trucks are 2wd. Just sayin

But i do know what you mean. Nothing gets you through the nasty stuff like 4wd.

I dont have evidence but my 2wd locked truck on A/Ts could out flex and go in and out of really steep ditches and some other stuff better than my buddies 4x4 pathfinder on 35 M/Ts unlocked. his would completly flex out and the two wheels on opposite corners would just spin, he needed a running start to go over the obistical.

but he has 4lo, so he can crawl up steep rocks/logs..etc, thats why mines gonna be the "prerunner" of the group

of course a locked 4x4 jeep will pwn the unlocked and locked 2wd

cheaper, those who do light off roading, dont need 4x4, I dont like deep mud, but my 2wd will do small puddles just fine, I can go down lots of trails with ease, but most trails are for the FJs and jeeps, my wide truck will hit trees on both sides. I dont know anyone who does hard core rock crawling or mud bogging with a factory 2wd lifted...

this is 2wd though:

I love when people ask that question and put it down but I dont see your truck out here with me

I lifted it because I had a 2wd. If I had a 4wd id lift that too but I dont. I had to make due with what I had.
