Default painting textured front end pieces

on the xl and the work trucks there is alot of black plastic on the front end. it is textured to a certain extent. I am wondering if these pieces are textured enough to keep from painting or not? I didnt know if it could be primered then sanded down til you finally get a smooth surface or not. I figure it wont work but thought id ask before buying new stuff. I found a chrome bumper with fogs for 311 but i also found a painted bumper for 256 with fogs. but i really need the piece just right above the bumper. Not sure what the name is for that piece.

as always any comments/feedback appreciated

You can get certain sandable primers that build up very quickly and would fill in that texture.

thanks... i would assume a smooth surface would be easier but if i can i need to deal with what i got. Kinda laid off right now so money is tight but got plenty of time to make something look good...
