I dont think the engine is the problem. All the electronics/sensors/connectors etc is the problem. I have 115K and it runs perfect.

i agree...mines not running perfect at 112k, but she's still real strong and steady.

Mines gonna hit 300,000 miles in the next week with zero problems to date other than regular maintenace so I have to say it's great.

Idk if it's luck of the draw or what.. I'm not have the best of luck either. Replaced spark plugs around 2 months ago. Yesterday it ran terrible. CEL was on, had 7 DTCs up on my Edge, felt like it was gonna die at idle. My research is saying cam phasers because of the P0022 code. Not much luck recently for me either. It's an 06 with 100500 miles

I'm on my second F150 with the 5.4L and love them. I have 112000 on my current 05 SuperCrew and the only problem I've had is misfiring because I waited until I have 108000 on the clock to change them. Since they were changed she runs perfectly. BTW I used the impact driver method and none broke.

Sometimes someone gets a bad one and I guess this time it was you. Depending on how much money you've sunk into it, I'd probably suggest you hang in there. It would seem like you'd eventually fix everything that needed fixing and be good to go for a long time. You're options are to buy another used truck and take your chances or spend a lot more money on a new truck. I know you must be frustrated with it though.
