Default Oil Change on 2008 F150 4.6...

Does anyone know the exact drain plug wrench size for my 08 F150 4.6? I was going to change my own oil soon and don't know if it is metric or standard. Also, should I buy one of those oil filter cap removal tools? Looks hard to get a strap wrench on the filter. Thanks

Ya 16mm and I like a 3 jaw ratchet filter gripper! For it from Cornwell and it works awesome, also a set of filter pliers or a band style work good

If you have a regular oil filter wrench (band type) it wont work if you have a 4x4 due to the diff being in the way.

I use one of these on a 12" extension and it work a lot better than the cup ones because these grip tighter the more pressure you apply.

You can use a band style just loosen the filter from up top in the engine bay
