Hmm, wonder why? Wish I had said setup in my 150.

What is in place of the 4x4 switch there? Is that a coin holder?

Yup its a coin holder. Except its worthless cause the coins don't sit in there tightly so I hear them clinking as I drive and it makes me insane LoL.

Sometimes I wish my truck was setup like that. My dads truck is and the only way anybody can sit in the middle seat is if they are no more than 4 feet tall because thers no room for their feet there lol.

Ive never had this problem. I agree they are far enough away and have a differnet feel that you really shouldnt have to worry about it. Of course I have a DD touchscreen HU and am always touching that so Im pretty use to moving my arm a certain distance.

ha ha. i haven't done it yet. but my boss has an 04 screw and his wife uses it fairly often and he actually yanked the switch off because he would get into the truck the next day and it would be in 4wd. now if he needs 4wd he pulls the fan speed **** off and puts it where the 4wd **** goes switches it and then puts it back.......boy i am glad my wife is scared to even go near my truck.

I hear ya! Your boss needs to educate his wife on the problems this could cause.

And I too am glad my wife is afraid to go near the truck. She says it's too big and she hates driving the truck in bad weather, since she doesn't know how to react if the tail starts trying to pass you.

On one of the interior mod pages a guy with a 2-wheel drive swapped out the coin holder for a new style 4x4 switch and I suggested then for the peeps with 4x4 to swap out their old switch for a new one...it's round instead of flat...

I have never done this but i've heard peeps talk about it. I did drop off my truck to the dealership once and the brain dead tech that drove it around the shop after working on it turned on the 4x4 instead of the AC and when my wife picked it up she called me and complained that it wouldn't move when she tried to turn a curve. I about jumped out of my skin and yelled to turn off the 4x4...and sure enough...that is what is was....went directly to the service dept and chewed some ***!!!

Sorry jokers can't drive it 100 ft without turning on the AC...pissed me off...
