Default My one and only gripe.

I love my truck. I really do. It tows effortlessly. It has gotten me out of some sticky situations. It rides better than any vehicle I've ever owned, BUT... If I ever find the engineer who thought it was a good idea to use almost the exact same switch for the air conditioning and electronic 4WD and place them less than 2 inches apart, I'm gonna tie him to a tree and everyone who's ever shifted into 4wd while trying to adjust the A/C fan speed will get to kick him one free time square in the nuts.

I've never understood that! I know Dodge does the same thing and I think the new Chevys have it right next to the headlight switch and it is the same **** as the headlight switch. I'll stick with the shifter on the floor.

I've honestly NEVER done that. My 4x4 switch is plenty far from my a/c. Its the 04 fx4 tho, does that make a difference?

You can't exactly see the 4x4 switch in this picture, but its right behind the steering wheel. Its in the exact place as the auxiliary 12v is, just on the other side.

That is what he is talking about man, at least i think so. The switches are almost exact and are only 2-3 inches apart, so when your driving down the road and reach down to turn up the fan while keeping an eye on the road, there is a good chance you will switch into 4x4. I have come close, really foolish design imo.

Hmmm, have never done that.

Too me, the **** designs are plenty different in look and feel, and well enough spread apart that I've never come close to doing this.
