yeah i would look into getting a shield im not positive but when i was searching for my intake i could have sworn the roush had a kit that came with the shield but i could be wrong i ended up getting an afe intake and it has a sealed box around it!!

the intake is sealed but there is a small spot on the bottom corner that water might be able to come through

My advice don't go mudding in these types of vehicles, to many components under the hood, mud destroys them all. I'm telling you by experience, I did my share of mudding but no more, too much down time and expensive repairs.

How in the hell you gonna get mud up in there...you would have to dive up to your hood in mud...lol

ive gone mudding before and a little bit of water got near the intake but it wasnt mud it was just a little bit of water and thats the only thing im worried about
