Default lift and wheel spacers question.

I am planning on putting a 8" rize lift and 37/13.5/R20 tires on my 07 soon. My problem/question is I spoke to someone at Top Gun Customs and was told with a 20" rim I will need no more than a 5" back space in my rims. Well I just took a wheel off, placed a board across the rim on the edge from side to side and dropped a tape down to the mounting serface. It appears to be 5.5". I am now stuck, I have a set of rims(on the reuck) that are too deep, and a set(for a 2x4) that I have not been able to sell. So should I run a 1" wheel spacer so that I dont half to worry about my wheel/tire rubbing. I am going to go to some local shops and see If they will take in 2 sets of 20s in exchange for a set that fit my needs. I would even go with a 17 or 18" if it had the right back spacing(4.5"). I guess my question is should I run a 1" spacer till I can get rims with the proper back spacing?

Default

i am thinking about the eagle alloy series 064 in a 20x10. If I am reading right they have a 4.6" backspacing which would be a .5" area to play with.
