I hope things get better for ya, I know that after the C4C deal, our rates on distillation fell right back to ~60% capacity. We make the coatings for places like PPG and Akzo Nobel refinishes. That's why our business has slowed, we're tied to the auto industry as well. So, I now see how our auto industry ties to the economy overall. Good luck man, hopefully things will get better and not worse.

Oh i have a new job, best thing that ever happened to me. I lost faith in ford, all the small issues with the f150's is BS IMO

-iwe issues all years. the rubber used on the hub actuators in garbage, cracks and leaves, requiring replacement. around 120 a piece, dealer only part.
-iwe solenoid constant problem, 04/05/early 06's have the old design. 30 dollar part, dealer only part.
-window regulators, all years, poor quality internals, have not been able to find a aftermarket replacement,
-outside door pillar panels fade and look awful on the later models. i know the 04's use nice gloss black ones, must have cost too much
-the posi units wear out in no times
-the bed caps on the older ones fade, the one's on my 07 warped to hell
-cam phaser noise
-plug design

there's more but oh well

I am fairly new to the F150 forum here. Which engines/year is this occurring? Are there certain engines that this happens to or what?

Personal attack? Did you see the paragraph you typed? Rambling on about how good toyota is and blah blah, bad design, bye bye. 6yr old son, lol, i have probably worked on and repaired 10 times the amount of car/trucks you have dude. Your loss, this forums has tons of good info on it and whatnot, but hey if you think i personally attacked you, i am sorry.

pertaining to the 5.4 2004-2008 models. they say the issue was fixed in early 2008 models, but IMO you should do a plug change at 50k miles cheap insurance and greatly lessens the chance of breakage.

Ya change them out at 50,000 and it will be fine, I did mine at 70,000 and had no problems.
