Help choosing exhaust
I want some more sound out of my 5.4L V8...I'm thinking of getting a Magnaflow muffler, either a SISO or SIDO, and having a shop just run pipe, and get tips for it...any suggestions? What types of exhausts are you running?

Magnaflow is gonna be good if you just want a little more grunt, if you want good sound at idle and all through the band go flowmaster, I have the super 44 and love it but I'm going high flows cause mine aint loud enough for me

Roush Off road. It is loud when you get into it but quite on the hwy at 70mph, just a slight rumble. My brother had a flowmaster on his Z71 and it would be draining with all the racket it made at highway speeds. Here is a video of mine. I really like the side pipes compared to the rear duals. Next time around id either do it dual at the factory side behind the tire or just have it dumped under the truck. And i do have the windows down in the video. And i hear only the 4.6L's have that popping sound when you rev it before the trucks warm.

I had a gibson 2.5" SIDO exhaust, I personally thought it was too loud on the highway and I travel 32 miles to work, actually itgave me a headache. I now have a magnaflow 2.5" SIDO, I love it. sounds great when you get into it. it is reasonbly quite on the highway. and sounds mean at an idle.

Get and youtube and listen to tons of these trucks with various exhaust systems and see what you like. Exhaust is all about opinion, find what you like and go from there.
