Here are my findings fromt his past weekend.

Have an 05 5.4 and Friday I ran a round trip of 312 miles (to the school) to pick my daughter up for the weekend. 90% 65MPH road and 10% 45-55. When i pulled back in town I had just under a quater of a tank. Filled up and averaged about 15.2 MPG.

Saturday afternoon, I did the Gotts mod on my breather and noticed a good difference in throttle response.

Sunday, I ran my daughter home and it was about 321 Mile round trip (dropped @ home in town) and topped of at the same station when i returned and to my suprise, I actually got 16.8 MPG. On both trips, I kept the cruise @ about 69 MPH on both trips. I'll back it down to 67 MPH next time to see if it helps.

Not certain if it's a fluke or what, but I was tickled to get that much difference. Was actually hoping to get more like 18 on this particular drive, but guess 16 will have to do.

Previos post says to remove the silencer while doing this mod? Which piece would that be and what steps would change? (Sorry, new to the f150. Removed the silencer on my ranger. Only difference was a little louder but I would like to do while doing other mod)

I can answer that, on the 5.4 the filter is on top of the engine and not over by the fender, if that's what your asking.
