Default Exhaust Cutout Question

Ok heres a question. I run an exhaust cutout on my truck and the weather here in Missouri is getting pretty cold. Qustion is, can running this cutout harm my engine when my engine is hot and the weather out side is cold will it harm it after i turn the truck off?

It shouldn't really affect anything due to temperature. The only downfall is less back pressure, therefore less acceleration. I ran mine for about a year with no problems, I just couldn't stand people beating me with a quicker accel so I cut it out

Please read this: https://www.f150forum.com/f11/exhaus...re-myth-78102/ thanks

Besides sounding like a ticked off lawnmower, there shouldn't be any problems. Just don't put it too close to the front to have enough pipe to maintain scavenging. About a foot in front of the muffler is a safe place.

The article was very interesting though, thanks for the reference.

Not disagreeing that happened. Just making sure the facts behind real cause was realized. Don't feel like I singled you out, I do it to everyone who uses the B word.

haha not at all man, maybe back pressure wasn't the true cause, but something from the cutout did it.
