Question Annoying Loud metal on metal squeak

I am having a problem with my 2006 Ford F150. I have attempted to search the forums for an answer to what is going on, but I am not coming up with anything.

The problem I am having is that the truck makes an awful squeaking noise when coasting to a stop or rolling while stuck in traffic. It is difficult to tell whether the noise is coming from the front or the back. It does not make the noise constantly. For the past few days I have noticed that it squeaks while traveling over 40 mph, in the past few months it only did it when traveling under 40 mph.

Turning the steering wheel either direction does not affect it all. Stepping on the brake pedal does not affect it either. I took it to my local ford dealer and they told me that the front rotors were warped. I find this a little hard to believe as the squeaking is consistent. The pitch of the squeak doesn’t change while rolling. Of course it stops when the truck stops, but when you move again it comes back, well sometimes. It doesn’t do it all of the time. Seems to do it more when it is hot/hot outside.

The things I have tried to fix the issue on my own are:

- Inspected all 4 wheels to see if there was any indication of a rub anywhere on the wheel/rotor and found nothing
- Had rotors turned to eliminate what the dealership said was wrong
- Found that the front hubs were bad and replaced them
- Replaced the emergency brake springs on the rear of the truck
- No play in the driveshaft

I have not been able to replicate the sound by turning the wheels by hand so that leads me to believe that the sound is not coming from the brakes. The sound sounds exactly what a brake pad squeaker would sound like when it is time to replace your break pads, but much louder.

Possibly it's the hubs, the problem with that is normally the hubs squeak/scratch at a turn but it could be your rear hubs. Does it sound like its coming from the rear? Also if it's the hubs don't worry, pep boys will say something like 1k. I got the parts for about 200 and did both of my front 4x4 hubs on a subday

I have replaced the hubs in the front, but it didnt change anything. I have not messed with the back too much other than changing the emergence brake springs and having the rotors turned. Cant really tell where the sound is coming from. One minute it sounds like its coming from the front and the next minute it sounds like the back. I have had a few people tell me that it sounds like the back. When I changed the front hubs, you could tell the bearings were shot. I thought for sure that was going to fix it, but it obviously didnt.
