Okay so you're building a truck that you will put to use and you're wanting to put 38's on it?????
We'll if you check the link below here is where i found the rear RIZE kit for our trucks and yes i did my homework and they do a great job on our trucks...
But why in the hell would you want to to piece together a kit that would eventually break your truck and cause you more headache that do good. if you are a long time off-roader then you would know that piecing stuff together is not good and if it were don't you think all of the pro's would do it so that they could save money too???

I think you should really look into this. I know it's your time and money, but i think you are getting ready to walk (or drive) into a huge pit of grief.

while i do thank you for the advice and i will and have already since i have been sitting here take yet another look into the rize kits. i just haven't really heard or seen anything good from them until here tonight. don't you think if their kits were that great all others would have already taken their design and refined it to make it their own. i.e. skyjacker pro comp fab tech rough country super lift. none of the "well known" brands make anything that even closely resembles the rize stuff. why?

Hey Truckguy, I'm not sure who your last response was aimed at, but I want to make another suggestion....have you looked into getting something fabbed for your application. There are a couple of our trucks in my area running 37's, but they are built to run those tires. I know it will cost more, but it will be alot more cost effective in the end. The truck wont look "wack" and it will be alot safer for you and everybody else on the road. I have seen the Rize kits, and it wasn't anything more than a 6' lift with more metal plating. Have you ever had a tie rod break on you doing 60 mph? I have, your life will flash before your eyes. Especially if you are towing.

none of my posts are aimed at anyone. i am not here to defend my ideas but to try to come up with others. as is i am looking at this truck and about $7500 worth of lift and tires. so of coarse i am looking for the best approach possible. and all i was saying about all the other kits. is you see a kit that looks like it might be good. usually when it is a good one other companies produce something very similar. look at rough country. they just released their 6 in kit. almost the exact same as a pro comp or sky jacker or fab tech. all i was saying is why is rize the only one dabbling into what they are selling.
again i do thank all for the advise and i am now going to re visist some ideas i had vetoed in the past.
and what was your idea about fabbing something up? i know some people in my town that own an off road shop and are capapble of doing custom fabs. i do not want to straight axle this truck and compromise its value

As for fabbing, I mean that I have seen "one off" designs. I wish i would have taken pics, because that would of given you some ideas. These designs were "beefy" for a lack of a better term. For example, the support was where it needed to be. My biggest fear with big tire setups is steering. It looks like the Rize comes with "upgraded" steering, but I wouldn't trust it offroad with 38" tires (Once again, mall cruising will be fine). Fabbing will comprimise the value, so if you do go with Rize I would at least look into better tierods with stout Heim joints.

yes pics would be very helpful. to bad you don't have em. i would really like to see more on "beefing" up my front end. when i went asking around for ideas on how to make it handle those tires and parts. the only responce i got was straight axle it. which i don't want or need to do on this truck. nor do i want to label my truck as a mall crawler. but it does see a lot more streets than trails. i do mud in it. but nothing really really extreme. for it is in really good shape.

Just to give an idea of what "fabbing" I am talking about. Pick up the Jan. '09 edition of "Offroad" magazine. It's the one with a black '04 Screw on the front. The owner is rolling 37's. The steering still scares me , but it can easily be changed. It may not be your style, but this is what I see on my side of town.
