does anyone in here have a lifted F150? does it have big tires
 

anyone try to push 38 x 15.50 on a F150?

i am trying to put em on my truck and am trying to see what kind of luck others may have had

How big of a lift do you have or are planning to have?

all in all its almost 12 inches of lift.
3 inch body lift
6 inch pro comp susp. lift
2.5 level kit
8 inch custom leafs in the rear.

i am trying to put a set of 38/15.50/20 toyo mts on it
i don't really think clearance is going to be an issue. i think my problems may come with tires almost 16 inches wide. i have been told i may can expect half shafts and the rack to fail almost all the time

i have seen it done once on another truck but didn't really get the chance to see how it was working out

that will look like ass imo

and to whomever it is that said that will look like ass....what do you drive?

got a 04 f-150 with 31"s stock...05 excursion, 6" lift on 35"s...i know fabtech makes a simple 8" lift for your application, get that instead of all the lil pieces to make it "big"

i am not trying to piece it together to make it big. just as big as it needs to be to clear those tires. fyi 8 inches will not do the trick. i must get the body up and out of the way some. hints the body lift. the level kit will be removed if i can clear my tires without it. it doesn't sound like you have anything this big though.

my brother has a 250 with an 8" lift on 38"s...it clears fine, no issues at all

that is an f250. a little bit bigger fender well than my f150. bigger tires and wheels to start with. the only way i can clear 38s without stacking a body lift and susp. lift is to go 12 inch susp. lift which is only made by rize and a poorly designed kit for the front only. no rear.

i looked in to that option before i settled in on this one.

i am in texas. here we do it big or not at all. i see soccer moms in my town running 35s. i want something more

get some fender flares or trim...a 12" lift on freakin 38"s will look stupid i think
