I really need to get a sound clip of mine loaded up with my blower, it sounds real tame at idle, but in boost she roars.. When bumping the throttle around heavily, like in traffic, she's got almost a mustang like growl with a good bit of rasp..

It does not matter if your state or local area does not have smog testing FEDERAL law supersedes all state laws.
A police officer in any state, and at any time can pull you over and inspect. It's a heavy fine for not having them.
When you go to sell the truck or trade it in, the Federally mandated equipment (I.E. cats) have to be on the vehicle. A dealer cannot resell your vehicle if they are missing, so when you go to trade it in, you'll sign a paper (required by law) that states all Federally mandated equipment is on the vehicle. The dealer wants to protect themselves from the law too.
If you sell the truck privately, they have to be on the vehicle as well. Even an "as is" statement on a bill of sale will not cover you for this. Two weeks after my son sold his 2002 Subaru WRX STi (with the cats removed), he was served papers on a Saturday morning, stating he had three options: he buy the car back, he pay to have cats installed, or he pay a hefty fine. He gave the buyer his money back (it was the cheapest option).
I hope you at least kept them; you'll want to re-install them when that time comes.

Especial and elm any chance of you posting a video of the sound?
I postponed my install until next week to decide. It's just way too loud and in not sure just adding a muffler is going to satisfy me.
I was originally thinking high flows with my existing true duals and x pipe. Especial you mentioned an additional muffler, I'd love to hear the sound of it.
I really like the sound of the ford racing exhaust systems or the roush systems.
My muffler guy tried to get me away from the magma flow high flows and go with something else but I forget what exactly. Just want to do this once and be satisfied if anyone has any videos.

Skip the X pipe muffler and put in some magnaflow 94106 cats.. Then get a magnaflow X pipe after the cats and run 2 mufflers.. I've got some short 16" magnaflows and really like the sound.. Shorter the muffler, the louder she gets..

Especial, I noticed the 94106 doesn't have the inlets for sensors but you can get 94136 which does have them and could save a little money on the shop having to weld them in. Should I go with those?

I ordered two 94136 with the port already there. Now just going to decide what else I'm going to add. I'd imagine without a muffler it's going to be louder than I prefer. I'm going to hit up YouTube and see if I can find a sound I like. Especial thanks for the pics. Very helpful. Let me know if you can do a sound clip. Can text you my cell for a video or something.
