Blowing out IWE vacuum lines on 2006 FX4 5.4
I've been searching, but haven't found the exact way that I should blow out my IWE vac lines. I obviously need to disconnect them from the solenoid behind the battery, but anywhere else? Then do I just disconnect the lines at the IWE and blow compressed air through each side?
I just replaced both IWEs and want to make sure there is no moisture in the lines

And if you do not have the new IWE solenoid with the rain hood...I would buy one.

So I need to also disconnect the check valves as well when blowing the lines out?
I replaced the solenoid with the new style before doing anything else, hoping that would fix my issue, but it didn't. So yeah, I already have the updated part.

Yes...the check valves are a one way valve that prevents the loss of vacuum produced during normal operations.. what is your Issue ?

Well, my 4WD just recently stopped working and I was getting grinding/screeching from the front the first few miles in the morning.
After doing research, it sounded like something to do with the IWEs. I changed the solenoid behind the battery to the new style and the problem was still there. So I ended up changing out both IWEs, which solved my problems (no screeching/grinding and 4WD now works).
But, there was definitely moisture in the old IWEs. Although, the lines seemed pretty dry. At the time, I had no other choice but to hook up the vac line to the IWEs and drive, as I needed my truck for work. I am now looking to blow out my vac lines as a precaution, hoping no moisture/crap already made it in to my new IWEs So, I just want to make sure I disconnect all of the proper items and blow air in to the proper locations before I start making more issues for myself.

so...now that you have the new IWE solenoid with the rain hood I doubt you will get water in the lines again.
