Does the computer still control them the same, or is there additional programming required?

1 advantage to them in a 4x4 setup is the 4r100 transfercase has a lot lower 4low crawl gear....... My 98 with 35's and 3.55 rear gear had a lower crawl than a stock 03 FX4 on 32's with 3.73's.

I will be going in and talking to some techs today about this and see if it would be better or even cheaper

Thanks gents, this has been an informative thread for me as well. Eventually, I will be getting a new trans. when something happens to my current one, but till then, I am getting my ducks in a row so I won't need to do this research in the future.
