I don't plan on modding the engine....if anything just the GOTTS Mod once it warms up a little bit outside. I just want my truck to run better...it feels like its just being held back from its potential and if I end up with more MPGs out of it then good for me haha.

PHP no longer creates custom tunes for the Edge CS or CTS. That's something to take into account if you eventually add any performance parts (CAI, Exhaust, Headers...) to your truck and want the best gains out of em. I'm in that boat right now, looking to install a set of headers but PHP no longer writes tunes for my CS. I'm in the process of finding out how much performance I might be missing if I don't go custom tuned with the headers and true dual exhaust. Noticeable or not, I hate the idea of leaving possible gains on the table because I don't have the right tuner.... decisions....

He's talking buying used.. If the programmer has already been converted and custom tunes added they will still support... I know.. Received another tune a month or so ago

I had a Edge Evolution on my Superduty with a Gibson SI/DO exhaust, custom CAI and ported and polished heads, along with a TPS adjust at .999, and it hauled *****!! It was a 01 5.4 and made my 07 5.4 look lame. I took a lot of time adjusting shift points, timing and rpm points, had a chart I kept a log on for a while. If I ever get a programmer, it will be Edge Evolution of SCT with custom tunes.

When you buy used, don't you have to reset to factory and then install..means you lose the custom tunes ??
Am running EDGE CTS and seeing great difference in shift and power on level II, haven't tried Level III with 93 octane yet.

Returning your vehiicle to stock YES.. But the programmer itself is still setup as a gryphon.. All you'd have to do is get your own custom tunes..

I only ran tow and now running custom 87 performance..

Also my biggest gains were on Level 2, or towing level. Level 3 with higher octane gas was a waste of time. Level 2 with 91 octane and the timing bumped up 1.5 degrees made it scream! For some reason level 3 didnt feel nearly as good.
