If you can afford that boxter I would change the oil sooner no matter what the manual says.

I have yet to do a oil change on my f150, but when I do I will use the motorcraft 5w20. As other posters have said it is one of the better oils on the market and you can buy it at wal-mart. I use it in my wifes 04 MPV (ford V-6) and in my 03 sport trac I just sold. Also the motorcraft oil filters (820S) are some of the best, they have scored near the top in every oil filter test I have seen. They also can be found at wal-mart. My two corvettes get mobil1, but that was thier factory fill and sometimes I feel that I may be short changing them by not going with a better oil, Redline, etc. They see 7000 RPM my truck and van do not.
