Why would you wanna bump up the timing .75?

If you run higher octane gas than 87, you can advance timing for performance benefits. I have an Edge Evo (advanced timing by .50), Gotts mod with AEM Dryflow and true dual exhaust, guess I am bored...and my injectors are still clean.

I have a tuner and intake on my truck it's set in the 87 performance tune and I noticed a little better performance but nothing mind blowing. Haven't stepped it up to 93 octane tune cause frankly I don't feel like paying for the 93 octane.

I run 89 Octane on level 2.....it's mind blowing. I have the level 2 set with custom settings.

You also have true duals...I don't. I do notice more pick up but nothing to write home about. After all you can only do so much with a 300 hp motor and a 7000lb+ truck

I have a K&N drop in filter and Gotts mod. I run 93 octane in my truck religously and also the 93 tune on my SCT. I love this setup and its still somewhat easy on the wallet driving around town, plus on ramps are a blast.

I have the K&N intake on my 05 5.4L but at the same time I got it installed I also had an edge power chip and 4.88 gears installed and boy could you tell a difference. But I cant say how much of that was because of the K&N.

I have the edge Evo and would buy it again for sure.
Have also heard good words about the SCT so you should check into either or both.
One of these would be the first items to purchase unless you are going high tech with a turbo or blower.
As for the K&N drop in filter, I ran one for some time on 2 different trucks. Could not measure any improvement in mileage.
Changed back to standard filter as it provides better filtering which will improve overall engine life.
