I was afraid of that. I might try to drop the tank and see if there is any issues with the connections on the fuel pump. Hate to order another drive module just because I'm lazy and don't want to drop the tank.

I'll look but shouldn't I be able to unplug the fuel pump connector and turn the key to accessory and see if I'm getting power to the plug? Wouldn't that rule out my fuel pump and send me back to the module?

So not to have another crank no start thread open with no resolution.

Been continuing to trouble shoot the FPDM and the fuel pump itself. I think I did narrow it down to the FPDM being a shoty piece of crap. When it would crank and not start I would unplug the connection to it and plug it back in and it would immediately start right now.

I ordered an Airtex one and hopefully that has better results. Will update the thread in a little while after I run this one for a bit to see if that helps.

Thanks everyone for the help!

You'll be happy with the Airtex unit. It is a FoMoCo, as they are the manufacturer.

Good to hear. If it ends up not being the FPDM and you need to replace the fuel pump, Rockauto.com has the best prices for Motorcraft. The one for my 07 Expedition was $300 cheaper from Rockauto than it was at O'reilly auto.

So almost a month has passed and an update:
-Rock Auto sent the wrong part when I ordered the Airtex FPDM. So I sent that back and have still been running the truck with the old Dorman one.

-Since then I haven't had an issue....doesn't make sense I know...

Around the time I ordered the new FPDM I messed around with the seals on the plug and readjusted them in the connection and ever since that day the truck has started every damn time.

I'm probably jinxing myself by putting this on here as I'll probably be stranded at work now with it not starting but so far it has been working with out replacing the FPDM with the the Airtex one.

Default I too had problems with the connector on the fuel pump demand module

I put a new module on it wouldn't start, then put orig back on ,okay it ran for a few miles .
Then I was out in traffic in the blazing summer heat ,every few miles I was under the truck reseating plug or changing the module . I even cleaned the plug connections with after shave out of desperation .
Finally sent for help and contact cleaner ,didn't work until I noticed pale blue gasket in there didn't look right . Pulled it out and it has been working ever since . Even went thru salt water flood at times 2.5 feet deep . Should go under there and check it , maybe tape it up? Been busy with flood damage Hermaine.

That's exactly what I did. I pulled the plug and saw that light blue gasket and it wasn't seated right. I re-positioned it to sit right and after that I had a few times where it would be stupid but ever since then, fires up.
I thought about that too, taking some type of rubber and shrinking it around the connection but wasn't sure if that would help at all.

Been running good now so I'm afraid to mess with it anymore haha.
