And Wet dream you will experience if/when you go to sell the truck without cats; illegal to sell it publicly (trade in) or private sale, even with an "as is" clause in the bill of sale.

Or if you get a police officer in a bad mood pull you over and ticket you.

Very large federal fine that supercedes any state or local laws.

Just something to consider.

Ha ha, I would if I was in my twenties. I got that out of my system a long time ago with my kawasaki crotch rocket. Im sure I"d like it but Im boring and quiet now and my neighbors live way too close but then again it would be kind of fun to wake them up at 6 am.

I'll defend him a little. I think he said to still have the 4 cats, just go straight back with 2 pipes. Im going to stay easy and boring and maybe do the direct bolt ons

I have all 4 cats.... Can ya read before you go all Mr.illegal. You can even cut the back cats off and still be legal. No sensor no problem....

Everything mentioned was a catback exhaust...

And I didn't buy the truck to just sell it down the road. Unlike a lot of ppl I got what I wanted for a long time, the problems that eventually came with the 3v were fixed by me, i didnt just ditch it for a new engine or trade it in.... With that said the straights arent to loud, and sound deep like i wanted them too from the beginning. You can still sneak around your neighborhood. A Muffler system just does not sound good on these trucks with the 4 cat exhaust. You will regret it

I"ve been actually seeing that alot in the forums about getting rid of those back cats. Walker has a direct fit with the rears eliminated. I called magnaflow to check on a part and had no idea my Pa truck had Ca compliant emmissions. I think alot of states are doing it but Ca stuff is $100 more and was told I had to stick with Ca exhaust which I think is a scam. I gotta check all of this out. By the way, most people don't read the entire posts and ask questions without looking at the details so I know how ya feel

By any chance did you have a low idle before the new exhaust?

Was just curious because I have a low/rough idle that I cannot figure out and have replaced everything under the sun and even had Ford try to diagnose it only to tell me everything was in the right parameters. Im hoping some new exhaust parts due to my bad cat/cats might fix my idle. Thanks

Can I ask you how was the install with them? Im considering some direct fits myself that I can install. Also, where did you get them and did they have 4 cats like my 04. I've seen them online and also some walker direct fits but with only one cat per side after the first bend but 2 02 ports per side, kind of like the set up that some of these guys do when they eliminate the one cat per side. I get a little nervous about changing things up too much and dont want to have to buy a tuner to adjust for anything. Im not even sure which cat is clogged because the muffler shop wants it all day to test everything and I can't find the time. I may only have one bad one and they can just weld a new one in. Thanks
