Default Adding decals

I'm planning on putting new 4x4 decals on my truck bed. One side was just replaced and painted due to a slight mishap the other side is still the factory paint/decal.

My questions are.... Should I let the paint cure befor putting the new decals on? Should I strip any wax/polish off before or just clean the surface?

Always use a wax and grease remover to prep the surface. After you get the decal down good with no bubbles, let it bake in the sun for a bit or take a hairdryer to it. This is not critical, but can help set the adhesive a little better.

I'm not sure about waiting after it's painted, but most people get their vehicles back with the striping and decals already done. Call the shop to be sure.

Dry method is very similar to applying just a normal sticker. Kind of a place and stick method if you will. The wet method involves using a mild soapy water mixture out of a spray bottle (ie. light dawn dish soap and water). While using this method you first wet the surface with your soapy brew then appl the decal, usually from the top down very slowly and make sure to use some sort of sqeegy device or a credit card. Apply the decal and occasionally spray the outer coating of the decal. Once it is applied, run over it with your squeegy multiple times and then slowly remove the backing. Hope that helps

Definitely wet. It's the proper way to do it and it's way easier. I put new style ones on my truck and it was easy using the wet method. I put all decals and stickers on that way. It lets you move it around, so you don't have to get it perfect right when it goes on.

As far as waiting with the new paint, I have no idea.
