2007 king ranch windshield molding passenger side
Well, I finally figured out what was causing the God-awful racket on the right side of my windshield after I hit speeds greater than 60mph...the one piece windshield molding. The part number for the left side is 4L3Z1603137AA, however I can't find the part number for the right side. Is it because it will fit either side? Also, is it better to replace it with a new one or just glue the original one back down? If so, what type of adhesive should I use to reinstall? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Don't judge me for this, but this is the one thing on my truck that I have been cheap with.
I found the trim, the same part for both sides, but it's around $120. There are metal clips that hold the trim to a peice of metal. Over time they spread open, and cause the rattle. If you can get them off, they can be squeezed together again to hold the trim more securely. My dumb***** broke the trim piece, so that one of the clips will not attach to the trim. Instead of spending $120 for the whole thing, I ran some black electrical tape down the side of trim and onto the windshield. It's not noticeable, which is why I keep forgetting about it to find a replacement.

Are you talking about the COWL were your wipers are ? or the weather strip that runs in front of it ?? if it’s the COWL parts... they are not the same for both sides..

These clips are what is needed to re-secure the windshield moldings on '04_'08 F-150's. I am a certified automotive glass technician with SafeLite, and we are supplied these clips whenever we need to install a new windshield on these vehicles. They are a terrible design. The plastic becomes very weak and brittle over time, so the wings on the clips that secure them into the molding break the moment you go to remove it. The pack consists of 8 clips, which will replace all the ones needed to secure the moldings. I'm sure that you could order a clip set from Ford, or try searching for this manufacturer online and buy the set. Worst case scenario, you could always try going to your closest SafeLite and ask to purchase a set. I'm sure if you asked nicely enough, they would have no problem selling you a set.
