You key should also have a S written on it which designates the encryption level of the PATS. If you have a remote starter that works, I do mention to people that on ours it does count as a key (as long as it's not cloned). It's not easy but you can use the remote start as a second key (with a blank key) to program a new one. It's probably easier for the time and trouble to just have the dealer do it. If you do have a remote starter... mention it to the dealer or they might not program it. If they don't, you can do it quite easily with the two keys you have.

Just to clarify, the keys I know from Ford (I don't do remote starts for a living) are:
S - 40-bit encryption
SA - 80-bit encryption (I don't *believe* any of the 04-08's have this)
This page will tell you that the 04-08 uses key types 9 or 15. I personally have 15:

The easiest way to tell if it's encrypted with RFID is, go to a key cutter, pay them the $5 or whatever to cut a cheap key for a spare (doesn't hurt anyways) and try it. They might warn you not to use it in the ignition but on ours it's fine. The GM's I will warn will lock you out for 15 minutes or so (I've learned this on remote start installs haha). If it doesn't start, you know for sure. The other way to determine is the securelok light.
As far as I know though, you're not going to find an 04-08 without a chipped key. In fact, the previous generation had chipped keys so the 04 F150 Heritage would be included (as it's based on the previous generation).
Also, I do believe the SA keys are backwards compatible but I'm not 100% on that. I also understand the S keys have been discontinued for that reason (except maybe on eBay, etc...)
