Question 2004 Supercrew - Cruise Control and Floor Shift Interlock

My cruise control does not work. Began by replacing both switches on the brake pedal as suggested by other sources, no luck. I noticed that when the truck is running, i can put the floor shifter in any gear without touching the brake pedal which most likely has something to do with cruise control not working. Brake lights work fine.

Anyone have ideas on why cruise doesn't work and/or floor shift interlock?? I've run out of ideas...

sounds like a electrical problem if you can put the truck in any gear without pushing the brakes the truck is getting a signal somehow to make it think you are pushing the brake look at the wires coming off both switches on the brake pedal for broken or melted connectors

Wires and harness look great. Somethings telling the interlock solenoid to pull in. You can turn the key off and it locks. Turn the key to the run position and you can put the shifter in any gear.
