Default 06 f-150 window switch

i have an 06 f-150 XLT crew cab with 44,000 miles on it i have had the truck only about 2 weeks and love the thing but today i went to put my drivers side window up and nothin, wait a sec it goes up. It comes and goes but on this new of a truck i'm not gonna put up with it, my question is has anyone else had this problem with there trucks i'm a semi truck mechanic and if i change the switch i would do it myself but i have never taken the panel off my truck and the last thing i want in it is squeaks and rattles if i broke a clip, basically 2 things how does that come apart and how anyone had thing problem on their truck i am gonna go to the ford dealer and see if they'll work with me considering the truck is only 2 years old any info would be helpful thanks.

i bought an '06 F-150 last week with 27K miles, and the front passenger window switch was not working. i made the dealership replace it before i would buy the truck. glad i got the extended 5 year bumper-to-bumper warranty incase something else like this goes goofy.

depending on the miles or how old your trucks are, it still may under the original factory warranty.

I have, you guessed it, an 04 lariat and the switch hasn't given me the problem of not working but sometimes the arrows on it light up and sometimes they don't.

My passenger window swith would not work in the up position. took the truck in for the brake recall, and told them about the switch. they replaced the switch and it was under warranty still so it did not cost me a penny

I have a 05 had the same problem. I replaced the master window switch and its working fine now. Its not a hard job to do, take a flathead screwdriver and pop the switch bezel out, unplug the wiring for the switches, release the tabs that hold the switch to the bezel and install the new switch. It takes about 5 minutes to do.

I had the same problem in my 04 Screw and just replaced all of my door switches from a wrecked truck. The pod for the drivers side has to be replaced instead of individual switches. The repair itself is very easy and takes less than 2 minutes. If you have to go to the stealership, that master switch is pricey but at the junkyard was $25. Good luck.

I have this same issue with my passenger rear window. Sometimes it works 1st try, other times I have to hit it 2-5 times before it starts going up. Have even had a couple times I had to roll it up using the passenger rear door switch since the driver door switch wouldn't roll it up.

Truck is an '06, purchased in 12/06 and has less than 16K on it. It's not a huge problem right now, but will have it looked into during my next oil change since it's under warranty.

lariat 04:
Have you checked your window lock switch? Notice when you lock the windows, all the passenger window switch lights go out. Unlock the windows and they will light back up. Not sure if this is what you were referring to, but thought I'd provide a possible suggestion.

My 06 is still under factory warranty, i just got the whole pod on the drivers side replaced. I dont think it is too hard as stated before, just pop the cover off and plug the wires up. You can order the pod from ford.
