Default The Engine is loving the new plugs

Just took a ride and man it's peppy and perky, you can almost feel it breaths healthy.
Glad I've this task out of the way till another 50K miles.

The truck has 73K miles. Started the job with hot engine and 6 hours later got the 7th plug out. But, the 8th plug was stubborn and had to wait the next day for penetration to soak in.

I bought the Lisle tool too, but thanks goodness I didn't have to use it.
Just before I purchased my truck at 125k miles, a shop had replaced #3 and #4 with NGK plugs. They also had to put new COPs on those 2. I replaced all 8 plugs at 135k miles, and replaced those 2 COPs with Motorcraft ones. The 2 NGK plugs didn't break because they only had 10k miles on them. I believe I had 4 of the original plugs break. So that means that only 2 of the original plugs came out on their own.

Bought my truck in March with 101,000 on it and did the plugs after one tank of Gunk's seafoam equivalent. Engine hot, pulled the coils and dumped penetrating oil down there. Yanked the computer bracket off the firewall, and went to town with the impact gun. Probably hour and a half from shutting the engine down to getting the 8th plug out. Lisle extraction tool stayed on the bench. Anti-seized the new ones (MC SP-515) and will be taking them out at 150k for a wire brushing and more anti-seize.

Nice, I like how you handled it.
But, yeah I believe the Seafoam helped.

I also ran seafoam through my gas for 2 full tanks. Pulled them on a hot engine. 113K on it and none broke. Lisle was returned for a full refund minus my shipping cost. More than pleased with the process.

Nice, another happy Seafoam believer.
Next time I will use impact gun. But I don't know if my Snap On battery operated impact can get to the the ones close to the firewall.

I used non-impact 1/2" drive u-joints and a bunch of extensions to get the back ones out.
