No, it has to go all the way. That's the name! It looks nice but I don't like how it folds into the bed taking up space.

I've never had a problem with the backflip against the window because I use the mirrors. It is like having a trailer back there as I can't see out the window anyway with a trailer.

BakFlip has to go all the way?

Surprised on the lack of praise for the UnderCover. I too did a ton of research and purchased one for my '05 F-150, had it on for 8 years, and absolutely loved it.

The BakFlip VP does look nice but I don't know if I can yet bring myself to purchase a roll-up tonneau.

flowgoode just posted today that he installed a Peragon tonneau cover. He seemed to be praising it based off the short time he has had it installed.

Heath Copp even posted in the thread. Possibly he could answer any questions anyone had about Peragon if he had time.

Before you buy a Backflip of any model, please make sure that you compare an Undercover Flex. I love ours and it is very secure, folds easily and does not hit the cab when fully folded forward.

No, it can be folded in sections. I have 4 sections and can just fold back two sections.

Also, all it takes is taking off two large star nuts and you can pull out the cover and leave rails in if you needed all the room without it against the window.

What's the difference between this and the bakflip? They look the same.

You bet! I'm happy to answer any questions about our Peragon truck bed cover. Also, we have a pretty solid following on the forum here, if you search "Peragon" you'll come up with quite a few threads and posts by our customers sharing their Peragon experience.

According to my dealer, customer service, quality and price are all better for the Undercover.
I've been very happy with ours, and the added benefit of it not having to lay against the cab when all the way open was for sure a deal breaker for me.

I wouldn't trust what the sealer says! Lol

It looks like a nice cover but looks identical to the bakflip. I love my G2. It hasn't let me down and when folded up it rests on the glass with rubber bumper so there is no damage at all. I had it open all week while driving up and down the beach on vacation and there was no marks at all. It is held up in position with two bars that lock in place.

Edit, just went and looked on YouTube, it is almost identical to the bakflip. They do a couple little things that are nice like the panel lockdown clip but not sure about the locked upright position. If your putting it up against the cab, it is most likely short unexpected trips with items that won't let it close.

If I plan on extended carry of large items I'll just remove cover. It takes 30 secs to take out.

Looked at price also, for my 6.5' it was $100 more for the undercover over my G2. I do think the undercover is more inline with the F1 which has the little plastic guides for the cable and other little tie bits.

I will say that even without those little guides, I'm not even close to chaffing those cables and I have never burnt my fingers because I don't have the little felt piece. Lol
