Has anyone been able to get there F150 to have there S5's ringtones come through the truck and not the annoying factory sync ringtones? I had to pair up my replacement phone today and chose phone ringtone and it still plays the annoying sync ringtone. Is this something thats even possible to do?

It works great in my 12 XLT with Sync... But, I replaced my oem HU with a Kenwood 892 and retained Sync, and I have a Samsung Note 3!

I have an S6 and mine plays the phone ringtones through sync. All I did was sync the phone. I don't know what the difference would be between the 5 and 6. Maybe there's a setting somewhere that you have to find.

I have a Note 4 and while I dont care for the sync tones, I would rather have my own....

I didn't even know that was an option. I'd much have my own ringtones play from sync.
-I just got the s6 edge plus, and I don't think I've gotten a call in my truck yet since then. So I guess we will see!

Theres no setting in your phone for this! You just select it through your HU!

I know there is no settign in the phone, its in the radio. I have it set to phone ringer and not sync ringer but it keeps defaulting to sync ringer. I f'ing hate the sync ringer. Only good thing since getting the replacement phone is the radio will tell me everytime i get a text message now.

Hmmm have to try this. I have a note edge but the sync system rings standard.

And the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on that list. Nothing I do gets the phone ringtone to play thru sync/myford. Also, now the radio display won't show my contacts names anymore, it just says "unknown" it used to always tell me who was calling. The only thing I do like now is when i get a text message it displays it.
