Stage 3 Disappointment

I usually don't write in negative threads, but feel I have to. Stage 3 in every instance we have dealt with them jumps through serious hoops to help their customers. Call them and ask to speak with John. You will get things fixed up with a simple phone call. We all make mistakes, and if they made a mistake... give them the opportunity to fix the mistake.

And, make sure you read the part about turning off all the accessories and not unhooking the device while loading a tune, because I doubt you'll receive an email covering that as well.
Rant off.

Yes, it does. Read the last sentence. This was taken directly from the website when you select the 5* custom tunes. If you don't do your homework, don't be pissed at the vendor is my only issue here.
"If we find that your F150 is behind on its latest TSB strategy updates, we may require you to have your TSB updates performed at your dealership of choice. Call us directly at 1-877-578-2433."

I don't know how much plainer it could be stated as they have it right there on their website. You obviously didn't even bother to read their clearly written description of the product you were purchasing and their process needed for getting you the correct tunes. I'm at a loss how you can blame them for not putting every disclaimer in an email they sent you, not to mention with less than 24 hour turnaround, to complete your end of the process. If you were so hell bent on having the tunes for this weekend, why did you wait until the last minute to order? Wow!

It was a requirement and not a disclaimer. I researched through this form as well for more info on this product. From the threads I read here, no one mentioned having to update their ECU for the tune. I know to turn off the accessories, I will not be pulling any fuses (to kill power to fuel pump, fans, etc) or put a battery tender on my truck like how some threads have debated weather to do or not. It is it just plain obvious not to unplug it while it is installing.
I can tell you to do use a Dyno jet power commander to my Yamaha Raptor 700 or screaming eagle tuner for Harley's. I don't have much experience with the SCT tunes though on my truck. For the SCT canned tunes, it doesn't matter what strategy you have.

Quit your bitching. It is what it is. Nothing you can do now.
