Tell me does this sound fair. $2300 for the shell, then over $500 for shipping because they don't have any distributors east of the Mississippi

I paid $2000 plus tax (and minus a $100 rebate) for mine (including electric light and fold down front window options) ordered through a local dealer so your price seems a little high but that shipping price really makes it pricey.

Here's some pics of the Rebel and AWESOME carpet kit I installed on my Silverado last August, then promptly had to remove due to the POS truck being lemon lawed in October. Paid $2200 for 'em both, and now I'm selling them for $1400. My *** will never be the same after losing $800 so quickly on this deal.
Doing the same set up on my '150.

Go to there Facebook page, they have plenty of pictures of the XTR. No sounds on the road at all. I have a Yakima set and it works. The roof of the XTR is reinforced so that I can load up my rack.

You've got 3 storage bins on each side, of course the cup holders, and the padded section on the bottom gets moved up to the carpeted 2-by-2's you see running down the sides up at the top, to form a padded sleeping base that goes from side to side. And when you move the padded floor up to the top, you create kind of a 'hidden storage' area underneath, as the 'bed' sits either at, or just below the top of your tailgate.
Just in that small 5.5' Silverado bed, I was able to store a case of MRE's, two rifles, case of water, porta-toilet, porta-shower, several-thousand rounds of ammo, a sleeping bag, an armored vest, helmet, and several changes of clothes.
The only items that were visable when you opened the door on the shell, was the sleeping bag and case of water. I could've easily jammed the sleeping bag and at least most of the water into the bins as well, but it wasn't necessary.
With my '150s 6.5' bed, I'll hunt for several days at a time, and will have everything I need back there.
And the major 'Positive' about these carpet kits is, they don't cost any more than the 'Bed Rugs' that for whatever reason have become so popular these days.
