I have been looking into either weathertech floormats and mudflaps, and have seen that many people love them. Any reason why you dont? Anyone else have these items that they can speak to their quality?

I got a couple pics in my album of the Aries mats I have in the front, they are far superior in quality to the weathertech i have in the back. Comparing the two side by side the weathertechs seem cheaper and not as nice, also most people pictures of weathertechs show them not covering the door sill as my aries do, but just butting up to it which will allow them to drain on the carpet underneath. However some people report that their weathertechs do cover the sill so maybe there are two models or they fixed their error with the newer mats. Aries are the same price as the weathertechs but are much thicker and softer and guaranteed for life. Weathertech is thinner and more plastic than rubber, having both of them I can tell that Aries are far better quality and just look and feel nicer. I put them in when it was cold and the aries formed right to my floor but the weathertech stayed bubbled up for a long time due to its more plasticy nature.

My weathertechs are now... @ 7.5 years old in my 04 F150 and I think it was your post where I first learned the aries even existed. I 'll probably go that route next time. What I've read mosta are happy with the wethertech flaps though...

Hey what was the negative with the aries rear units?(sorry off topic)

maybe pure crap is a bit harsh, but they arent as good as aries, thats for sure, lol! The aries rear mat did not go all the way under the rear seats like the weathertech did, it was just for the front where your feet go but as I frequently fold up my seats and haul stuff I wanted full floor protection. I think the FX4 is supposed to come with one that covers the whole floor in the back though ive never actually seen it, my salesman was sposed to grab me one he said, but he never did the sneaky snake! Claimed they didnt get any new fx4s on the lot for a while as he was gonna snag one out of one of them, lol. At any rate I also have the sub and the weathertech had the cutout for it so I ordered it, im sure it will work just fine, but its not as nice as my front aries mats.

I only have them to make my boat happy. The rear Ford flaps on my '09 FX4 do not light up straight - the fronts are perfect. Not sure if it is the wheel mouldings or the flaps in general. I would look into getting another brand personally.

They don't look bad, but straight on from the back they bow in.

Love my weathertec front/rear floor liners. They fit decent in the front but not as well as the Aries. The weathertecs because they are more of a plastic stuff will slide around on them. I kept my rear Ford mat to keep on top of the weathertec.

NO Mudflaps, they belong on 18 wheelers and dualies.

After driving on a rainy day, the first puddle I hit coated the front of the step bar with muddy water, so I put the ford molded ones on in the hopes of keeping the mud off the step bar. We will see if they are effective or not.

Either way, I like the look.
