I didn't put an extension on. Still contemplating whether or not I am going to put extensions on though.

Hey guys, Im interested in trying a retro with my old xlt headlights, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for a beginners retrofit kit. Thanks

Think the kit from trs that doesn't require major mods is your best bet. Think it's the morimoto h1 mini. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.UtmhYqY8LCQ

It is by far the easiest install but not as good as the full retrofit fxr. But still an amazing choice

if anyone is interested in these or something similar hmu, I have a few pair. im building a set of the same carbon fiber 13's only w amber halos. also offering hydrographics on anything u want to send me. 👍 I reply to pm promptly!

Quick question, how are you guys attaching your shrouds to the projector? I've heard JB weld, is that the common method?

Yup. Go light though so if ever needed you can rip it off

Thanks Yuke. It makes me nervous working so close to the lens! Maybe I will tape it off just in case.

I used black gasket adhesive.

Has a strong bond but *can* be ripped off if need be. But it can be messy if you're not careful.

Well i mean how much harder if a full retrofit fxr? Im willing to try. I just need to be pointed int he right direction of a kit.
