Default removed appearance package decal and now can slightly see where it was

Seems as though the sun faded a slight bit around decal on 2013 fx4

Will this be able to be removed by waxing the truck ?

Had a factory pin stripe that I recently removed that was on for approximately 3 years in the Florida sun and I still see a ghost stripe. So I doubt you can just wax it and it will go away.

I think you would benefit most by doing a full paint detail from stripping, clay barring, polishing, and finally waxing the truck.

It's tedious but the end result is worth it as your paint will look better than new and you are sure to remove the oxidized layer of paint (which is the 'old' paint you see compared to where the stripe was).

Wash it with dish soap instead of car wash. Should strip the wax off.

I agree with the full detail, but also agree that some UV fading may have occurred.

White and black are probably going to be the least affected colors. What color is your paint?

On an 2013, I would be VERY surprised if there was any fading or change in color. 2-3 years isn't enough time to do that unless you are out in the desert somewhere and never used any protectant or wax of any kind.

I've taken emblems, decals, etc off of 10+ year old cars and you couldn't tell they were ever there after clay, buff, and wax.

If you lived somewhere near by, I'd offer to do it for you. It's not hard once you have the right materials.

A full detail as the others have suggested. The clearcoat that hasn't been covered by the decal has been exposed to the elements, multiple washes, etc. It isn't the base coat that has faded. If you don't have the proper equipment, supplies and copious amounts of time I would suggest a professional detailer.
