I throw everyone off as I took the license plate bracket off and put the 3 bar ecoboost plastic filler in the hole. Keeps everyone guessing... mind you the exhaust gives away it's a v8 lol. I mean really. .. would anybody think that has a 6.2 in it lol.
Never knew it was even a option!

Neither did most dealers. But in this province there is actually quite a few XLT crew cabs with the 6.2. At the time when I bought my 13 supercab and another as a 2014 were the only 2 supercabs in Canada lol.

I had no idea you could get a 6.2l in the FX. I wish I had done more research for sure.

What kind of mileage are you guys seeing with the 4x4 6.2s?

Since 2013 the only trims you couldn't get the 6.2 in is the XL and STX. I have an XLT and an FX4 with 6.2's. I don't give a damn about gas mileage so regardless of engine it's all the same here. If you drive accordingly high teens highway is pretty easy to achieve.

I've had my 6.2, FX4 Supercab, 6.5" bed, for 1 1/2 years now and I drive it hard. No putzing in town or the highway, ever.

Averaging 14 mpg on 87 octane, flat, up and down mountains, etc.

I've seen 15.5 on those rare 65 mph runs.

Looking at changing out the tail lights and 3rd brake light this weekend. I will need to start a build thread shortly.

Just thought I would post up some gas mileage numbers. For a refresher, I have an '11 Lariat supercrew 4x4, 6.2 max tow with 3.73's. A Volant intake tube. Stainlessworks Long Tube headers, full Stainlessworks exhaust with high flow cats, X-pipe and chambered mufflers. And an SCT Livewire. This past weekend I went to visit my sister in Maryland. It's a 88 mile trip one way. Weather was very nice on the trip out and back. I was running on the SCT 93 Oct. canned tune with the Kooks long tube header option. On the trip out I traveled a steady 60 mph on the highway, with an occasional pass at 65-70 mph. The trip back home I was at 65 mph for the first 20 miles or so. Then dropped back down to 60 mph for the remainder. Instead of telling, I'll show.
The first two pics are of the trip out. I got a high of 22.5 for several miles, but not long, LOL. The next two are of the trip back home. Then one of the truck from last year.

I have a 6.2 Platinum and thought about getting the 6.2L raptor badging for the doors. But decided not to. It just seems out of place on anything other than the raptor.
