Are you 2wd or 4wd? Can't you get ford to disable that message? If you decide to remove it, let me know i'll buy it off you.

4WD and I don't know if Ford will do it or not. Sounds like something they wouldn't and then tell me I voided my entire vehicle warranty. If I cant get it fixed and finally get annoyed with it enough, I will keep you in mind when I swap it back out again.

Did your truck originally have the basic cluster in it without the larger display? If so you need to have your instrument cluster (ic module) programmed with manually entered as built data either aquired from a different vin of a truck that has the same cluster in it and like options. Some times you can get lucky, and the techs can send the tech hotline an email, and they will sometimes send you those codings to program the ic module. . if you are switching from message center to message center style, you can bring it into ford and they program it in about 10 mins.

Well its still nasty out today so I didn't wash the truck but I had to get these photos posted for you guys to see the new Spyder Projector headlights. I am VERY pleased with how they look. The driver side unit didn't seat properly so I had to expand the bolt holes on the top. Still doesn't sit exactly like factory but unless someone is looking for it, its pretty unnoticeable. Hopefully it won't bug me later on.

And here are a few of the FX tail lights. I think they go great with the headlights.

How are these headlights holding up? I've been considering them for my Platinum. Especially compared to the price of OEMs... Also need to decide on black or chrome.. Hmm...

I was told that by a tech trhough youtube but another member on here with an STX and basic cluster swapped in the larger display cluster and everything worked out fine, no need to program anything but mileage. Just adds to the strangeness.

Keep me in mind too if you possible switch back. But hopefully you can get it figured out. Do the pitch and angel work being in a stx?

Have you added or will you be adding auto lights? I have a stx sport too that is why i am asking.

I don't think the STX gauge looks cheap, if you look back to the 09-10 trucks clusters it looks a lot like those. I think the gauge looks more out of date then cheap. It's hard to not let technology suck you in, but I will say those LCD gauge screens look awesome.

Looks a lot like the stx's but with the chrome rings.

Very true statement.
I can remember when I changed my cluster in my 2008 stx to the fx gauges those had looked like how ours are setup now.

I was thinking about getting the cover lens with the chrome rings to dress up my cluster and some new chrome/silver vents on the dash. Anyhow there's a local dealer here that has a 14' white FX4 Supercab for sale still and some days I wish I would have spent the extra money on one, but every time I see how fancy the interior is it turns me off. I wish they made a FX4 with XLT interior. I'm just a simple guy who uses a truck as a truck.

so the cluster swaps in, but to navigate the message center dont you need to also change out the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel aswell?
