Need New Shocks & Struts
Ave been looking through the pages and not really getting the answers I am looking for so wanted to post a specific thread to generate the applicable information.
I have a 2013 FX4 Eco Screw w/ 53k miles w/ the original shocks and struts. I can feel they need replacing and this was confirmed today at the dealership as the front right is seeping.
My truck has an AS 2.5" level and 295/65/20 Toyo M/T and I am looking for a stock quality or better ride but need to do this on a budget right now, so my question is what is my best bang for my buck? Is it worth buying an assembly over a strut will I save enough in labor to justify?
Specific model of shocks and struts would be helpful ie Bilstein 5100 or Rancho 5000
Thanks Chris

I installed whatever Bilsteins go on a 2wd Lariat supercrew, and they are wonderful shocks. Granted, the OE ones I pulled off had 175k miles, so they were totally done. The Bilsteins are just fabulous.
When I installed mine, I took the front struts to a local tire shop and had them compress the springs. It seems like they did the two fronts for <$75.
It's an easy job but you need some big torque to knock the front fasteners loose.
Good luck.

Why not remove your level spacer and go with a set of coilovers!?

Depending on your budget, either 5100s and have someone swap the springs or go RS9000 adjustable ride 2" Rancho quicklifts to keep your level. And get the 9000 rears as well. This aT you can set your ride firmness. Or just get Monroe quick struts and keep the spacers.
Coil overs sets usually run over a grand. The quick lifts I wanna say run about 6-7 hundred iirc (been awhile since I looked) with rear shocks.

Coilovers run roughly $800 for a front pair. Just FYI.
