Um, unlike you, I used sizes that are relevant to the OP's situation.

Are you mentally impaired?

Best part is you're now claiming to be talking about tires that not only aren't close to the size the OP's using, but aren't for F150s either!!!

LOL. And you accuse others of ranting off topic?

Talking to a toolbox like you is absolutely painful.

You just keep contradicting yourself and dancing farther away from the facts to avoid being wrong.

It's about a funny case named SaltnGristle who has a history of saying untrue sh;'t then spins, dances, and bends his words to cover it up.

Crack open a beer.

He said he'll "make fun" of me "all day long." LOL.

I said 20s are cheaper than 18s, and the ones that were price checked while I was standing there are, so were multiple others that the guy said he checked over the course of his job at the tire store, I didn't say anything that wasn't true, ever. But it sure is funny your mission in life is to keep this thread off topic, lol!

Oh, and unlike you I stopped mentioning irrelevant tire sizes after I discovered he already had the tires, except when talking to your dumb *** of course, since you can't keep on topic. Guess you can't figure out how to make your own thread either so you have to keep hijacking this one.

But the 20s and 18s were different types of tires, you even said so yourself.

How is that a logical comparison?

How are stock sizes relevant to the OP's situation?

You never were on-topic.

You're like a pull-string talking parrot on crystal meth.

Like I said it turned out to not be relevant because he already had the tires, and after I discovered that he already had the rubber I stopped talking about different sizes till you showed up and started smack talking.

Bottom line, the OP made it clear in his first sentence that he was going with 34"-35" tires. Whether or not he already purchased them was beside the point.

Your claim that 20s are cheaper than 18s & 17s is untrue, especially in this case, and now you're spinning the facts to say you didn't know he wasn't interested in stock sizes, which is yet another lie because you wrote this early on:

Since hes asking for offsets hes obviously not got 17 inch rims now and is looking to buy the correct ones. Its his truck and he can do it whichever way he wants, but I would get 20s and a tire that meets his overall size want and it would be cheaper. I just want to know why he wants 17s, which from my understanding is the smallest rim size that will fit due to the calipers. Is it because he wants a large tire and doesnt know the 20s route would be cheaper? or does he want massive rubber sidewalls for extreme off roading? Im not trying to tell him what to do, Im just curious for his reasons for wanting 17s as it seems to me to be a very strange choice for these trucks.
Face it, Gristle, you're just a bullsh;ttin spin-artist that talks from both sides of your mouth.

Go away.

Yes, I was there. I was pointing out he probably could achieve his wanted overall size with larger rims for cheaper than 17s and larger rubber but since he has the rubber already it really doesn't matter. Also after hearing the conditions in which he plans on driving in frequently for his job I agreed that 17s would be the better choice for him.

so I would assume rubber for 17s would be even more.
If you would have left out that part of the statement, this silly argument would never have started.

I have been tire shopping for awhile, and have found ever tire I have looked at including the LTS MS 2 are cheaper in 17" and 18" sizes. So much so, that I have concluded that I can afford to get aftermarket 17" wheels along with the new tires.

And I want the 17's in an E rating for better towing.

I said assume because I didnt know for sure, I never priced 17s and only had experience with 20s and 18s, if anything he might have had a better reason for starting his whine fight over it if I had NOT said assume, but as it is now Ive not said anything thats untrue and he just looks like a fool for continuing this off topic nonsense that has nothing to do with anything, but Ill keep making fun of him as long as he keeps posting about something so dumb and irrelevant to the topic at hand. I just feel bad for the OP for having to put up with it, but perhaps he enjoys a little entertainment.
