Default Memory seats.

Hi guys, before you ask I did look in the manual. I have a 10 Platinum with memory seats. All is well except when trying to enter or exit the vehicle with the engine still running. Has anyone figured out a way to move the seat and tilt wheel back for easier entrance and exit while the key is still in the ignition?
It's a pain to shut the truck off and remove the key for the seat and steering wheel to move out of the way.

unless you modify the wiring, you can't. That is the design. As you insert the key, the seat begins to move assuming you are already in the truck.

Maybe you could use the 2nd memory button and program it for that purpose ?
I programmed it to put my seat in "burger mode", moving it all the way back

just drive with the seat all the way back like i do and you don't have to mess with the steering wheel with that much room anyway!

I turned off the entry/exit feature the first day I had the truck. I wasn't a fan of the seat constantly moving with me in it and I figured running the motor up and down every time I got in the truck would wear it faster than I'd like anyway.

The 2nd memory position seems like a good suggestion if you really enjoy that feature. Good luck!

Wouldn't work for me. It is rare that she gets to drive the new truck, but when she does, the wife wants the seat set automatically for her.

If I recall correctly, the "guest key" that your wife has can be set to her seat amd mirror memory, saving the second button on the seat for a third person.
