i feel sorry for all the guys on this thread that wont let their wives drive their trucks because either they cant drive, or just dont take care of vehicles. I guess I am a lucky man. My wife knows how i am about my rides, and after being together for over 10 yrs, she has become almost as bad as i am. She takes very good care of her car(2013 tauras SHO), and when i'm overseas at work, she keeps her car and my platinum washed. hell, i have even come home to a freshly washed, waxed and detailed truck( she did pay somebody , but its the thought, right?). She had a 12 sec, '09 mustang gt, fully loaded with the glass roof, that we traded in on the SHO, and she kept it imacculate. hell, she even dries em when she washes em. I must say i have nothing to ocmplain about. she drives my truck all the time.

Wow...Thats sad. I would be pissed. I'm glad we both take care of our stuff. I'm **** about my truck too. For that matter, I'm **** about anything I have paid good money for. I do not like stuff torn up, messed up, etc. I have no problems with my husband driving my truck because he takes care of it just like I do. And after driving as long distance truck drivers together as team drivers for 8 years, I can say I trust his driving and he trust mine.

HoustonRider, before I got out of trucking I had just a little over 1 million accident free miles. I have seen a lot of guys scratch up, tear up, etc stuff. I know a lot of women drivers who has not had any accidents.

Funny thread. I truly love my wife and let her drive my vehicles. But she won't drive them anymore unless she has too. After she totaled my 2001 f250 7.3 4x4 screw (beautiful truck) she feels she has a black cloud over her head when in my vehicles. She has an 08 Nissan and keeps it very nice so all is good but does love to drive the new f150 eb 4x4 Lariat ruby red screw when she does. As far as the parking thing. I attended my daughters recital last week parked very far away from the crowd. When I came back an old ****ty Suburban parked within 16" of my truck. I looked up and down the side for a door ding but pleasantly surprised not to find one. It's tough to survive parking lots with out dings. BTW my wife was not injured in the wreck thank god.

No. I just can't. My wife is a good driver when she gives a sh**. Problem is, she never gives a sh**. Her new car looks like it was parked downfield at a driving range because of door dents. I've had co-workers call me and tell me she curb hopped in a p-lot. When I confronted her about it she denied it. I took it to the dealership and ordered an alignment and it was off so bad it would've quickly killed the tires.

My OCD is just too bad to let her drive mine and not tell me when something is wrong. Furthermore, I don't want to get into a rolling trash can.

bk117wrench That is good about no dings and awesome your wife was not injured. To God be the Glory too.
CdnBakon Gheeze that is bad too. I know a lady who has totaled every car they have had until last year when she had such a bad accident, that it put her in the hospital for months and now she is in a wheel chair. Her license was also taken away by the DMV. She has been at fault of so many accidents and have totaled 5 vehicles. The insurance company made them get an expensive insurance policy. Some people just can't drive. They don't pay attention and stuff. Plus she is from another country, so I guess driving on American roads was confusing.
