I would say that I plan on buying a new truck when this one is paid for (5 years) but I don't think that is realistic...I might keep this one and just buy another new car so it can be my daily driver!

2 to 3 years depending on the style changes. Have a 2013, if the style changes in 2015 then I'll get a 2016.

I always include taxes and insurance costs too. Where my truck is registered, annual taxes are expensive! Can easily be $1 - $1,200 per year on a new truck! Just to buy annual tag! They go way down after 10 years, so that's a big incentive to keep over 10 years.

I'm not really brand loyal, although my last several trucks have been Fords, and I hope the next one will be. Not real impressed with the new Chevy/GMC twins, but the new Ram 1500 diesel is interesting... Hopefully the 2015 F150 will be impressive

After all, someone has to support the economy and buy all these new cars and trucks they're building, right?
ozman2005 Yeah I know right...LOL I love a new vehicle too but man it took from 2007 to Feb 2012 to be debt free. The truck I have now, which I just got in Nov 2012 is our only vehicle note. And I plan to pay it off quickly. I sure would love a Raptor.

This 2013 XLT is ok, but I just don't like driving it as much. Is it the lack or leather, the extra weight, the extra length, I'm not sure.
I'm getting my money's worth though, I have 21,000 miles already in 6.5 months. About 100 miles/day. So it will have 80k before I know it.
Mikemeek Wow you drive a lot of miles like I do. I just got my truck Nov 2012 and I already have 19k...Yikes

Keeping mine till it rusts out from under me. I hate having payments. Mine truck is 11 yrs old and 135,000 miles and still goin strong. Keep the maintenance up and last a long long time.

I got mine in nov 11 and it's just coming on 27k km now. Will ill keep it till I can walk out of the cab with out having to open a door. And considering I'm a ford certified tech, that will be a long time coming.

Edit: spelling, damn auto correct

It's not so much time as it is miles on my truck. I don't plan to run mine past 150,000 km. That is when it really starts needing suspension, engine and brake work done.
