Default GPS issues

Getting no signal on my sync gps. Screen has the gps with bar through it in the corner. I did a master reset and battery disconnect and neither fixed. Check the diagnostic screen and it shows no satellites. Is this a gps puck/antenna on the roof you think or worse? Anyone had this?

Hi reward69,

Great way to troubleshoot the issue on your own! The NO GPS/NO SATELLITE symbol requires a trip to the dealer. I suggest making an appointment.

Let me know how it goes.

Well the dealer was no help, left with what I knew before I took it. I was told it could be the antenna or the GPS module. Said there was no way to tell which one it was so Ill be changing the antenna out as soon as it comes in to see if that works. $60 for the antenna and $500 for the module, gotta love that. My $100 12 yo garmin still works great and has been abused from dirt and street bikes, caught in the rain and sitting in a cars center console for years. Heck the battery it still good in the thing. Im really hoping its the antenna, a $500 module will suck!!
