Default Ford changing warranty?

I am about to buy a 2013 fx4. i just got a call from a dealer saying Ford extended the power train warranty to 6 year / 100,000 miles. I had another dealer confirm it, but i can't find anything to hold up their claims on good or Ford. Anyone else year hear about this? any websites that can back up their claims?

It's always been 6yr, 60,000 for powertrain. I have not seen anything about a change. Not even on blueovalnews.com where it would have surely popped up first. I hope it's true, they need to stay competitive with the others.

HI Mark,

I heard that Ford is now offering a 6 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the power train for the F150. Is this true?

Steve

Offering =/= giving.

But they will be happy to sell it to you!

Just a guess

Yep.

Offering = available. Not included.

All he wants is for you to come in. Ask him if you can pet a unicorn if you come in today. I bet he says yes

The warranty extension is NOT bumper to bumper like the one you purchased. Without the extended you are good for 6-60,000 on the POWERTRAIN only. The 3- 36,000 is bumper to bumper. I just roll the dice after 3-36 because the powertrain is covered and $1500 is a lot of money that could go toward a window repair or something else out of that bumper to bumper window. I usually don't keep vehicles past 5 years so I'm basically covered.

I was told when I got mine last month it was 5 year, 100,000 miles on the powertrain because it was 'truck month'.

Sounds like it's just a truck month deal. 5 year - 100k powertrain warranty.
